Kensing is a global manufacturer of plant-based ingredient solutions for human and animal nutrition, personal care, home care, and industrial markets. The company was formed in 2021 when One Rock Capital Partners acquired the Kankakee facility from BASF, building on a manufacturing heritage dating back to 1948.

Today, Kensing combines deep manufacturing expertise with a strong commitment to sustainability to deliver high-performance, responsible ingredients. The company operates through two complementary businesses:

Natural Vitamin E and Phytosterols, providing natural-source vitamin E, mixed tocopherols, and plant sterols for food, dietary supplements, personal care, animal nutrition, and pharmaceutical intermediates globally.

Surfactants and Specialty Esters for personal, home, and industrial care, including other markets like agrochemicals and lab diagnostics in North America; powered by our new biosurfactants platform, advancing circular, high-performance formulation pathways.

Kensing’s global footprint includes five manufacturing facilities in Kankakee, Illinois, and Hopewell, Virginia in the United States, Pilar in Argentina, and Valencia and Talavera de la Reina in Spain, ensuring reliable supply and proximity to customers.

Through strategic acquisitions including Vitae Naturals, the Hopewell operations from Evonik and AOM (Advanced Organic Materials), Kensing has significantly expanded its capabilities and is now positioned as the global leader supplier of natural vitamin E.
