Kensing Receives Canadian National Railway Safe Handling Award
Kensing’s history of safety and reliability has been a part of our identity since our Kankakee, Illinois manufacturing plant was first established, more than 70 years ago. Today, more than ever, we take great pride in that legacy and continuing our commitment to providing a high level of service to our customers. That is why we are so proud to be a 2021 recipient of a CN Safe Handling Gold Award, given in honor of our team’s safe rail loadings. Since 1992, the Canadian National Railway Company has presented CN Safe Handling Awards to companies who meet strict standards for the safe handling and shipment of regulated products. Gold Award winners have met the highest such standards.
The Safe Handling Award is an integral part of the Responsible Care® Program – an ongoing performance improvement initiative in which CN is a partner, both in Canada and the U.S.
At Kensing, our commitment to safety and supply reliability has always been part of our DNA. Says Wesley Hassen, SVP Manufacturing & Site Director at Kensing, “Safety is our #1 priority at Kensing. We’re proud to have been recognized for our continued and consistent commitment to keeping our employees, customers and the community safe.”
